I’ll Believe It When I See It!
HOUSTON, NETRALNEWS.COM – Scientists at Rice University, Texas, United States (US), have found a way to cure blindness by creating a special chip implanted on a patient’s brain.
The chip is called Flatscope and is described as a tiny microphone attached to the brain. Once plugged into the brain, it works by monitoring nerves and triggers them to be modified into substances that absorb light and other electromagnetic signals. The chip creates a fluorescence substance that directly helps the healing of blindness so says Rice University scientist Phillip Alvelda.
The chip is still in the development stage that can not be sure when it will
“At least this time we’ve found the mechanism,” Alvelda said.
“By increasing the patient’s nerve capacity, the chip will create two-way communication between the brain and the eye to help heal blindness faster.”
WE wish him and his team great success and well monitor for updates.
