Guitar Lessons, Classes, Clinics
I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years. Many of my students are currently successful working musicians and educators. I'm on faculty at Hofstra University, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and the Jazzmobile Workshop and also on the approved instructors lists for several other degree granting institutions including; City College, Hunter College and Long Island University.
If you're simply interested in private lessons, I also accept a limited number of students at my Brooklyn studio, and am working on a distance learning site JazzGuitarLessons.com which includes hundreds of pages of instructional material and examples in standard notation, tab, diagram and Guitar-Pro formats (all of my private students get access to this site as well). I'm currently producing video content for the site and you can see a sample lesson here: Jazzguitarlessons.com/sample-lesson.

Rick has contributed to several jazz guitar instructional volumes by Mel Bay Publications. A transcription of his melody and solo on "Blues Enough" (from his Samba de Novembro CD) is included in Master Anthology of Jazz Guitar Solos Volume Three. Rick's chord solo arrangements on "Misty" and "Speak Low" are included in Jazz Guitar Standards II and Jazz Guitar Standards Chord Melody Solos.
